MSC to Launch Direct Weekly Service from NSICT to Far East and China 02/06/2005

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), the world’s second largest container liner operator, has announced the launch of its Tiger Service... from India, with its first call at Nhava Sheva, with MSC Switzerland, on June 14.The Tiger Service will operate with 9 hi-speed vessels of 3,000-4,000 TEU capacity to offer one of the best transit times in the industry. The service is expected to be upgraded in the near future.The Direct ports of call on the service will be Nhava Sheva( NSICT ), Singapore, Chiwan, Qingdao, Ningbo, Fuzhou, and Hong Kong. The Tiger Service will open up a full range of destinations in the Far East, Australia, New Zealand, the USA , South America , Indian Ocean Islands and South Africa for MSC ex-India.MSC will be accepting cargo from all the hinterland cargo-generating centres in India, especially in the Northern and Western regions of the country.The other Far East/Chinese ports, Australia and New Zealand , Indian Ocean Islands will be served via Singapore, while the US West Coast and South America West Coast will be served via Chiwan on MSC own direct services with the best transit times.With this new service, MSC has once again kept its promise of continuously providing the best services for the greater benefit of its customers.
